Types of Massage
Swedish- relaxes the entire body by using long gliding strokes that manipulate the muscles, which circulates the blood back to the heart.
Deep Tissue- is similar to Swedish massage, but targets knots and releases chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue.
Hot Stone- the energy and penetrating heat of the stones help release tension. The stones are used to perform massage strokes and to bring relaxing warmth to the body.
Reflexology- is focused on the hands and feet. Reflexology uses specific target points on the extremities to send signals to the brain and balance the nervous system. Endorphins are released throughout the body in order to reduce stress, can relieve tension headaches, arthritis, digestive issues and back pain.
Thai Massage- involves deep stretching and massage. The therapist helps align the energy of the body by using hands, knees, legs and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches. It can be done on the table or the floor.
Pregnancy Massage- prenatal massage is used to reduce stress, decrease swelling, relieve aches and pains, and reduce anxiety and depression. The massage is customized to a woman's individual needs.
Aromatherapy- combines the therapeutic properties of essential oils with specific massage techniques to promote health and well-being.
Chair- is performed while a client is fully clothed and seated. It allows the therapist to massage the client’s head, neck, back and arm in a typical 10-30 minute session.
